Our Grooming Process
Grooming an animal is far more involved than a haircut. Here’s exactly what happens when your dog or cat spends a session with our groomers — whether that’s in one of our mobile spa vans or at our Burbank store.
Why our grooming process stands out
Many pet owners wonder why their dog or cat really needs grooming. For humans, a hairstylist is shampooing and cutting the hair on your head. Grooming for an animal is much more extensive — it touches skin, coat, ears, nails, teeth and overall health. Our technicians go well beyond a trim.
The process, step by step
We start by bathing your dog or cat head to toe with the highest-quality natural shampoos and oatmeal, hypoallergenic conditioning treatments. Next, your pet gets a mini massage with lavender oils that act as a natural flea repellent, followed by a blow-out and a hand-dried coat.
Once your friend is clean and dry, we perform our “Groom-a-Therapy” treatment: brushing their teeth, a full body haircut (clipped, shaved or hand-scissor trimmed, in whatever style you request), nail clipping, cleaning the ears and shaving between the paws.
We finish with a full inspection and overall health observation — this is how our groomers have caught skin problems, lumps and ear infections early and sent owners to a vet in time. Then every pet gets a healthy, tasty treat.
We do not use cages, muzzles or restraints. Your pet is never caged during any part of our process.

Our groomers have over 20 years of experience with cats and dogs, and every one of them has a genuine passion for the craft. We look for compassion, patience and perfectionism when we hire.
Every Go Hollywood groomer is PETCPR+ certified and trained in our specific techniques, tools and finesse when it comes to clipping and scissoring. Each has experience with routine haircuts as well as severely matted dogs and cats. Our team takes the time to provide gentle, loving care in a stress-free, spa-like environment.
